She takes my palm, and I immediately kiss her cheek. “I’d like to take a moment to twirl my girl around the floor.”

“It’s not a secret,” I reply and lean over to kiss the ball of her shoulder. “Tell everyone. In fact, let’s take a selfie with the ring and mug and post it on social media. Post it everywhere. Send me the photo, and I’ll do the same.”

She’s staring at me as if I’ve just asked her to jump off a cliff.

“I have coffee,” I say.

“Awesome, thank you.” She doesn’t look up, just holds out her hand, but I don’t pass it to her right away. She glances up, blinking, and then her eyes focus on the mug and a slow smile spreads over her sexy lips.

“Does this ring make me look engaged?” she reads aloud

But, Jenna, I can’t do this life without you. I don’t think I started to breathe until the moment I first touched you.”

“I still didn’t like it,” he says with a sigh. “And I do know how much they love drama. It didn’t change the fact that I saw it and wanted to kill him with my bare hands.”

“Trust the pregnant woman to like everything,” Hannah says, rubbing Grace’s round belly. “I’m only serving about a hundred people, Grace, not a thousand. I won’t need that much cake.”

“I’ll take home the leftovers,” Grace says with a laugh.

“You told the love of my life to get lost. I’m going to be mad for a while.”

“I’ve cancelled the rest of the lessons,” he replies, and my jaw drops. “I need to be available to you.”

“I’m fine.” I dance a fake jig and turn a circle, then hold my hands out and say, “Ta-da.”

This one says, I asked for pizza, not your opinion.

Her mugs crack me the fuck up.

“Could have lost you today,” I whisper, every word tearing through me.
