Nico Rinaldi has three world championships, a devastating mouth, and a habit of getting race engineers fired.
Before I agree to become his next target, I put one thing in writing: he can’t have me removed.
He expects me to break. I expect him to be difficult. Neither of us expects what happens when I’m the first person to believe him about the car trying to put him into a wall.
On the radio, I tell him exactly what to do. Behind a locked door, we discover how much we both enjoy taking turns.
There are rules. No favors. No interference. Nothing that compromises the career I fought to rebuild.
Then missing data becomes something uglier, our private relationship becomes public ammunition, and the man who finally learned to trust my judgment decides he knows how to protect me.
Nico knows how to fight for what he wants.
But if he wants a future with me, he’ll have to learn how to stand beside me without taking the wheel.
The Driver Veto is a high-heat, enemies-to-lovers motorsport romance featuring a brilliant female race engineer, an Italian champion with something to prove, a secret workplace relationship, and a hard-earned happily ever after.
