This Book should be the standard for teaching Teamwork, and Tactical Football, of any age of player, but certainly for young players just starting the eleven-a-side game, his will pay dividends, for the game in the future, I spend a lot of my time last season watching youth football, and my conclusion was that, although the ball skill standards of individual players, was generally good. But what every team lacked even the ones which were winning games 10.0, lack of Teamwork throughout the leagues, there would be a brief show of it in games, but not coached linked-up teamwork, which the game required, also although there were patches of tactical play, it was very rare. Reason, No Team-Work. This Book is stacked with Tactical Information, and the heart of it is Teamwork. Because one without the other is a No Show to the game. I used this over ten Seasons, and after I stopped being manager of The Harford Tornadoes, using it for another three seasons testing it out with different age groups, firstly with a men`s lower -league team, result, with part of the season gone, I think I missed four games, with no points, 5th game into a 28 game season, my first game with just giving simple instructions, they won that game and by the end of the season, they had come second in the League, and also won the league cup, this team in its history had never won the league cup, we also got to the semi-finals, of the county cup, so to them a first class season. After that I got a job manager of a Men`s Senior League Team, and although I had a bad start lack of players, was the main problem, but once this was sorted by the end of the season the team finished third in the league, no cup glory as the lack of players caused us to lose the first six games, two of them being cup games, some of the lack of players was work related, but once they were playing the formula way without my telling them it was a formula, I consider it was a success. Then the final test under elevens, with the manager giving my instructions, I considered this was successful, won the league and the league cup, but lost the final of the County Cup. I learned a personal lesson here as a coach I was better served for the older youth, or men`s football teams, I was a square peg in a round hole with the younger teams, I should imagine there are a lot like me, but who don`t accept that in all sports.
