For instance, sometimes when I’m writing an article for my website and it’s a complex topic, this takes longer to research. Still, I don’t use that as an excuse for not being productive. In spite of the additional research, my articles are still completed within a reasonable amount of time.

Yet, I didn’t know every single word that would be in the book. It is not necessary to know every detail before you write it. You will get bogged down in endless research if you insist on knowing all the details prior to writing.

I knew what the title of the book would be as I began writing this book. Also, I knew how many chapters there would be, and what the chapters would be about.

If you spend an hour researching a topic, but you only have thirty words written down, then you are spending too much time on research.

Therefore, you will have enough content for a short book if you can write at least 10 - 11 articles that are at least 2,000 words.

Think of non-fiction writing as a collection of articles.
