    Every act can become wholesome if it is done for the sake of Allah. This includes having food to sustain oneself, but also with the intention to utilise the energy acquired to worship Allah and to serve Him as well as to serve oneself, the community and humanity at large. This would fulfil the import of the Qur’ānic verse that advocates eating wholesome food, only to be followed by good righteous action.
