You must understand that the crazier she makes you feel, the better she feels about you, about herself, about her whole existence. All you’re ever going to feel is crazy.

You begin to feel that your ability to act normally is being very methodically (and passive-aggressively) “conditioned away” by this crazy woman that you love.

She has, in fact studied your behaviors very deliberately throughout the relationship in order to use them to her advantage. To your narcissist lover, you become a character study…a person of interest….an opportunity. She will do whatever it takes to get what she wants while destroying you in the process.

The problem for you, as a guy, is that society, as a whole, is far less tolerant of men who perform these types of desperation rituals than it is of your female counterpart. This is why you feel a sense of isolation and maybe even embarrassment at the way she makes you feel.

She just does it, learning herself, over time, what works and what doesn’t and just how far she can push the envelope.

Invariably, she’ll end her silence early, pressing down on the proverbial relationship reset button (that only narcissists have, by the way) and reappearing at your door or calling or texting out of the blue without a logical explanation in sight. And, more often than not, you’ll take her back because you want to be able to fix it.

She couldn’t possibly want the chaos, could she? Oh yeah..she could and she does. That’s all she wants.
