Katherine Stansfield was born and grew up on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. She moved to Wales in 2002 to study at Aberystwyth University where she now works as a lecturer in Creative Writing.
She is also an associate member of the Institute of Cornish Studies at Exeter University. Her poems have been widely published in magazines and anthologies.
Her first book of poems, Playing House, was published by Seren in 2014. The Visitor is her first novel.
