Why is there a worldwide epidemic of chronic diseases, including cancer, with the cancer epidemic includes dogs?

The Savestrols Concept describes a paradigm-shifting perspective of how the loss of an ancient, evolutionary, and critical plant—human and dog defense system compromises health and what we can do about it.

From his own cancer remission or cure with nonsmoker lung cancer to the remarkable recovery of his friend Bill "Tooth" Montooth from rare Merkel cell skin carcinoma, Dr. Salt has an important message for all of us. As Hippocrates, “The Father of Medicine,” said: All disease begins in the gut. There's a link between the typical Western diet and risks of developing both chronic diseases and cancer. In humans, eating five or more servings of plants (fruits and vegetables) daily reduces these risks, but it's hard to do this. Furthermore, the "ABCs" of The Salvestrols Concept explains what underlies the epidemic.

A) Protective plant compounds called phytoalexins are woefully deficient in the typical Western diet because of “modern” agricultural practices and food processing. It's impossible to get what we need for health.

B) Plant salvestrols are a unique type of phytoalexins metabolized (broken down) into several metabolites by an enzyme (CYP1B1) produced within most cancer cells.

C) Plant salvestrols can promote and support cellular health through autophagy as well as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunoregulative, cardioprotective, neuroprotective, anti-infective, and antifungal effects. Very importantly, the metabolites of salvestrols have the potential to kill cancer cells by several mechanisms, including apoptosis.

Fortunately, there's a solution.
