Born in Loughborough and one of seven children, Tom moved to Surrey at the age of four. He apprenticed as an engineer and ran a successful business with his brother for 30 years. Looking for a change in direction, he gave up his business and started writing. His first book was a help book aimed at adolescent and young men, giving life information supporting the growing pains of youth. A Young Man's Guide to Life was published in 2010.Tom's love of writing was sparked by a Creative Writing course taken more than 20 years earlier, but business and family commitments delayed his real passion - to write a story based on a true relationship he had heard of many years before. One Man's Poison was finally published in 2013 and is being well received. He is currently working on another novel.
