You've said yes to a home birth, or you're still wondering whether to. Either way, your job isn't 'wait outside' — it's running logistics, holding space, guarding your partner's choices, and stepping up in the minutes when everything matters most. This book is written for the partner who takes that seriously.

From deciding whether home birth and water immersion genuinely fit your family, to setting up the tub, coping without an epidural menu, and knowing exactly when the plan has to change — here's what it takes to feel prepared rather than panicked.

You'll learn what your hands are for during a contraction, how to talk to midwives, what to do in the first hour after the baby arrives, what to watch for in the weeks that follow, and how to keep your own head above water along the way. No judgment about the choices you make. Real language for real partners.

This is your role. Own it. Part of The New Father Library.
