David Ives is an American playwright who has been writing for the stage for over 40 years. He is perhaps best known for his evening of one-act plays titled All In The Timing, and is also celebrated for his adaptations of French 17th and 18th-century classical verse comedies. Venus In Fur has been produced all over America and all over the world, and was turned into a film by Roman Polanski that premiered at Cannes in 2013.
