Jimmy Magee

Jimmy Magee was an institution in Irish broadcasting. Born in 1935, he has the distinction of being the longest-serving sports broadcaster in the English-speaking world, having commentated on thirteen Olympic Games, twelve FIFA World Cups, twenty-nine European Cup finals, eleven athletic world championships, thirty world title fights and ten Tours de France. His autobiography, Memory Man, was a bestseller.
