I like it. People saying the names were just thrown in the novel, imo, are wrong. Do you seriously believe you can make international relations within the same continent? No. So I think it was like the fables and stories we read as children like the, 'Adeventures of Hatim' etc.
So I think I was well written and even the cliffhanger is good. It was mentioned in the beginning of the fourth wing that this story is transcribed and names of dead are preserved to honour them. So, be prepared for the ending, whatever it will be.
Although I do believe this series would have been a fire as a triology but the 5 novel series isn't as bad of an idea either.
