Leye Adenle

Leye Adenle is a Nigerian crime thriller writer. He is best known for his gripping and suspenseful stories. Adenle wrote Easy Motion Tourist (2016) and was a contributor to Sunshine Noir (2016) and Lagos Noir (2018).

Born into a lineage of Nigerian writers, Leye Adenle inherits a rich literary tradition from his grandfather, Oba Adeleye Adenle I, a former king of Oshogbo. He holds an MSc in Information Technology from the University of East London and a BSc in Economics from the University of Ibadan.

His acclaimed work, Easy Motion Tourist (2016), explores the underbelly of contemporary Lagos, following British hack Guy Collins as he navigates the city's shadowy underworld.

He has written a number of short stories and flash fiction pieces.
In 2017, his story "The Assassin" was shortlisted for the CWA Short Story Dagger. Leye regularly participates in literary and crime festivals and has appeared on BBC Radio 4.

He also contributes his artistic flair to plays like Ola Rotimi's Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again.

Leye Adenle lives in London.
