Melvin L. Rogers

Melvin L. Rogers (PhD, Political Science, Yale)mis Associate Professor of Political Science at Brown University. He is the author of The Undiscovered Dewey: Religion, Morality, and the Ethos of Democracy (Columbia, 2008) and the editor of John Dewey's The Public and its Problems: An Essay in Political Inquiry (Swallow, 2016); he has published in such journals as Political Theory, American Political Science Review, Transactions of the Charles S. Peirce Society, Contemporary Pragmatism, European Journal of Political Philosophy, and Philosophy and Social Criticism. I chose him as a reader for his interests in pragmatism, American political thought, and democratic theory.
