Josh Chetwynd

A longtime journalist, I've worked as a staff writer for USA Today, The Hollywood Reporter and U.S. News & World Report. My byline has also shown up in such varied publications as The Wall Street Journal, The Times (of London), Variety, MLB.com, The Harvard Negotiation Law Review and the Chicago Tribune. To date, I've written five books. My most recent effort, The Book of Nice was released in April 2013. It's a history of the things we consider nice -- from words and gestures to offerings and characters. In May 2012, How the Hot Dog Found Its Bun was released by Lyons Press. It tells the tales of accidental discoveries and unexpected inspirations in the food world. The one right before it,The Secret History of Balls, was named a "Best Book of 2011" by NPR. My non-fiction account of America's pastime on the the old continent, Baseball in Europe was called "an excellent research tool as well as informative and entertaining" by Booklist
