I was only five when these murders happened, so I didn’t remember anything about them. This book had me hooked from the start. The short chapters made it easy to read, and I liked how it jumped between different characters. Being from Chicago, the way people talked and acted felt real. The murder itself was brutal, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I really felt for Gio’s dad—he tried to do right, but his son still got caught up in shady stuff. I also liked seeing how the lawyers worked behind the scenes. Even when I wasn’t reading, I kept trying to figure out the motive. Great read.
