A popular women’s speaker, Gayla Parker is the author of Active Compassion: A Calling to Care. She currently serves as the WMU executive director of Maryland and Delaware. Her ministry experience includes holding various jobs with the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, as well as being a former International Mission Board missionary to the Philippines.
Gayla is also highly involved with the Christian Women’s Job Corps® (CWJC). CWJC ministries are bringing hope to women through Bible study, one-on-one mentoring, new life skills, and job readiness preparation.
Gayla and her husband, Freddy, live in Baltimore, Maryland, where they root for the Ravens football team.
