Jason Fator

JASON FATOR lives in Northern California with his wife and two sons. When he is not out hiking, he loves mountain biking, skiing, and reading. Other interests include making and drinking great coffee; playing bass, piano, and guitar. Jason and Thom Gabrukiewicz (author of the first edition of Best Hikes With Dogs: San Francisco Bay Area and Beyond) were co-workers at the Record Searchlight newspaper in Redding from 1997 to 2001, and have been friends and hiking buddies ever since.Jason's beloved trail buddy Paul the Great Dane (featured prominently on the new edition cover and throughout the book), passed away in the Spring of 2013. Rest in peace, Paul.
