A keen expert on questions related to old age, Leo Missinne unites practical
experience and scientific knowledge. He has a PhD in the pedagogical sciences
from the University of Louvain in Belgium and was professor and dean of
faculty of psychological and pedagogical sciences at the University of Louvain,
Kinshasa, Congo. After studying in the US, he was named professor of
gerontology at the University of Nebraska in 1971. Currently retired, Missinne
is chaplain of a rest home for the elderly.
