Aastha Roy is an Indian romance novelist. She writes contemporary romantic fiction set in the workplace with family themes. Her debut novel, Love Under Cover, was published by Bloomsbury India in 2026.
Aastha Roy developed a love of books and storytelling from an early age. She describes reading as a lifelong passion and began writing her own stories after years of enjoying romance fiction. Before publishing her first novel, she shared her writing online, building a community of readers interested in contemporary romance. She later completed Love Under Cover, marking her debut as a novelist.
The novel follows Ananya Tripathi, an unemployed young woman struggling financially and under pressure from her family to return home and marry. After losing her dream job, she accepts an unexpected offer to work as an assistant to Jai Advani, a young chief operating officer.
However, her employer gives her one condition: she must secretly spy on him. As Ananya spends more time with Jai, she discovers that he is very different from the man she expected. However, their growing relationship is threatened by the secret she is hiding, forcing her to choose between her career, her ambitions, and the person she has come to love.
