Candace Robb

AKA Emma Campion or Candace M. RobbMy novels are inspired by my study of the late Middle Ages in Northern Europe. My three mystery series feature medieval sleuths: the Kate Clifford mysteries debut in May 2016 with The Service of the Dead, set in York at the cusp of the 15th century with a strong, independent young widow forged on the warring northern marches. The Owen Archer mysteries are set in England and Wales in the late 14th century, the Margaret Kerr mysteries in Scotland in the late 13th/early 14th centuries, at the beginning of the Wars of Independence. I've also written 2 historical novels about women in King Edward III's court under the pen name Emma Campion.I live in the beautiful Pacific NW, but frequently spend stretches of time in England, Scotland and Wales doing research and exploring. I blog about writing, medieval history, writing women's stories, and feature new scholarship in my field at ecampion.wordpress.com
