Barrie Hawkins

Barrie Hawkins lives in Ely, Cambridgeshire, and has published business books.

Barrie's latest book has taken his writing into a new field. Twenty Wagging Tales is an autobiographical account of how the author and his wife help homeless dogs. Published by Summersdale in 2009, it's a heartwarming and often humourous account of the first year of their rescue work, telling the stories of some of the most memorable dogs. And with each dog comes a second story: that of his human being.

The book has attracted local and national publicity and has been featured in newspapers and journals as diverse as the Daily Mail and Writers' News.

10% of the book royalties will go to GSD Homefinders, the East Anglian Association for Re-Homing and Rescuing German Shepherd dogs, of which Barrie is co-founder and Honorary Chairman.
