David Selcer went o Northwestern University where he attended the Medill School of Journalism. Thereafter he received a Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio State University. He practiced management labor and employment law, as well as civil rights law for 35 years. He won a first place award in the Chanticleer Writers Contest for Lincoln's Hat in 2017. He also authors a series of mysteries called the Buckeye Barrister Mystery Series.
