Rudy Ruiz

Rudy Ruiz is the award-winning author of Seven for the Revolution. A native of the US-Mexico border, Ruiz writes from the heart about the Latino culture, the bilingual/bicultural experience, and immigration and acculturation issues. His fiction debut, Seven for the Revolution, won four awards at the 2014 International Latino Book Awards, including First Place for Best Popular Fiction and The Mariposa Award for Best First Book – Fiction. He was selected by LatinoStories.com as #1 among the Top Ten "New" Latino Authors To Watch and Read in 2015. His past non-fiction books include ¡Adelante! and an essay in Going Hungry. His columns and op-eds on immigration and public health issues have appeared in numerous national publications and websites including CNN.com. He earned his BA from Harvard College and his Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
