There is nothing humble when making a scene and telling my friends, co-workers, and family about all the great things I have done.
I have to keep it to myself. Keep my generosity for God’s glory to myself. This is a secret between Him and me. He sees what I do. He knows my heart behind the transaction. The reward will be mine in God’s eyes.

hard to be strong and courageous when you are crying inside (or actually crying). It is easy to plummet into a hole of despair, unwanted solitude, and depression. Sinking down is more straightforward than rising up.

There was no doubt about it; the change happened almost immediately.
Wherever you are, whatever you are going through, you are not alone. If you choose so, God will be with you. There is so much hope in that statement. So much truth. Have the faith to follow Him. Get lost in prayer and reading the Bible. You won’t regret it.

We all share a similar affliction, whether it be drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, food, abuse, smoking … the list, my friends, is endless. Trust in Jesus. And call a friend. You are not alone in the desert the way you think you might be. We don’t have to give up our birthright for a bowl of stew. We don’t ever have to face Satan on our own. Not ever.

Loving people we never imaged loving will Glorify God. It is taking action and showing our Faith to others, rather than us simply telling other about it.
We could end up making a new and unexpected friend.

I harbor doubts about what it will take to get something done, and I end up quitting before ever starting, before ever even trying.
Why?

self-sabotage situations. I want this and that, but I don’t put in the work, time and energy needed to obtain what I desire. It is not that I am afraid of hard work, as much

the best part is that when we confess and repent, it is almost as if we never sinned in the first place in His eyes. That is love, true love, undeserving love. It is grace.

I have to learn to let go of my past. The only way to find my way forward is to stop looking behind me.

When I ask God to forgive my sins, He forgives me. I have to forgive myself, too. God’s promise of forgiveness is throughout the Bible (Hebrews 10:22, 1 John 1:19, 1 Peter 4:16, and in many, many more places). And
