Welcome to Endtown, a community of animal-like mutants and “impure” humans infected with a mutagenic virus living below Earth’s post-apocalyptic surface. In A Fistful of Beans, droll protagonist Albert Anderson returns to Endtown after a hunt for food with the only non-perishable item the community can’t stand—canned beans. With help from his rhinoceros girlfriend, Gustine, and the questionable tactics of Professor Nikolai Mallard, he must avoid the town’s bean-focused fury at all costs.
