Aaah, another Lisa Kleypas gem. This one featured a forbidden romance between a high-born lady and a servant that was destroyed by the heroine's father, long ago. But when the hero comes back for revenge, everything has changed...or has it. This book is probably my #2 favorite by LK, after Dreaming of You.
Lisa Kleypas is one of the all-time best historical romance authors, and this is one of her favorites: Evie, a wallflower with a stutter, propositions a notorious rake, and things get out of hand quickly. A gem.
Tessa Bailey is one of my absolute FAVORITE authors these days!! You should read anything by her that you can find - seriously. Her trilogy about NYC police academy recruits is unbelievably good. This is one of her earlier books, but you can still appreciate her humor, her super-sexy scenes and the way Louis falls for Roxy and loves so fully and beautifully.
When I open a Harlequin Presents, I know what I'm getting - OTT drama, wealth, luxury, deception, lust, betrayal...basically, the books dip into the fantasy genre. Some authors make this work better than others, and Maya Blake is one of my favorites! Especially love her heroes...
Lauren Blakely is one of the best sexy contemporary romance authors out there, and this book will show you why. Her sports heroes are fabulous: funny and sweet, and they fall head-over-heels in love with the heroines. Check this one out for a taste of this great author.
OMG. If you liked Priest, you're going to LOOOOOVE Sinner. Even thought it's only February, I'm pretty sure this will be on my top 5 list for 2019. It's that good. Sierra Simone plays out the emotional twists in this beautifully.
That time of the year is coming soon, and to kick it off on this bookshelf, let's start with something completely different: a paranormal Christmas!! In Transylvania, with vampire angels, no less. Only Sandra Hill, with her wacky, dry humor, can pull something like this off.
Susan Elizabeth Phillips is an absolute master at hilarious, sexy conversations, quirky chemistry and slightly zany plots. This book features a prim English heroine and a pro golf playboy whose reputation has just taken a dive. Like all SEP books, there are some fantastic, laugh-aloud scenes in this one! Loved it.
Oh, my--have y'all read Tessa Dare? Her banter between heroes and heroines is simply fantastic. The plot of this book rests on love letters from a made-up boyfriend...who shows up in the flesh, with real demands of his own. The shy, proper Englishwoman gets whisked off to untamed Scotland, of course.
