Women are being used by God in His church in unparalleled ways. How do we understand what God is doing through women when 1 Timothy 2:12 requires a woman to be silent in the church and restricts her leadership? Further, how is it possible for women (working alongside men) to “prophesy” (Acts 2:17–18) if a woman cannot speak or exercise leadership in a mixed gender group? In fact, if women are restricted in leading when men are present, how will a woman ever walk alongside a man in growing the Kingdom of Christ?

This book will give a fresh look, biblically supported, to understand and interpret what God is doing in the modern-day through both men and women. It will provide a clear rationale for interpreting 1 Timothy 2:12 and related passages with a clean sheet of paper — one not filled with predispositions that limit women in ministry.

This book is also an encouragement for the many women God is calling into roles typically limited to men. It is my prayer that God will use this book to help you listen to His Spirit rather than your male brothers in ministry, regardless of how genuine their counsel may be.
