History of Company F, 1st Regiment, R.I. Volunteers, during the Spring and Summer of 1861

This book is about The Rhode Island Volunteers during the American Civil War. The author was a member of Company F, 1st Regiment and during his years of service kept a journal of the events that he witnessed during that time. He wishes the Volunteers to be remembered for their bravery in, as he says, “the defence of the Stars and Stripes in the great war of the rebellion.”
