Ellen McKenzie is about to marry Dan Dunham, Santa Louisa’s chief of police. But her dreams of a small, intimate candlelit ceremony are rapidly disappearing. The guest list keeps growing, and Ellen is distracted by her quest to find a new building for Grace House, a shelter for needy women. But her troubles go way beyond wedding stress when potential guests start getting murdered.
Ellen finds old Dr. Sadler dead in the cemetery, his head bashed in by the arm of a marble angel. And to make matters worse, every suspect is connected to Grace House. After the current halfway house goes up in flames, all the residents, including a newborn baby, move in with Ellen and Dan. Will bride and groom ever solve the murders and get their lives back?
