“Wandering Wind by Darin Svien is powerful and compelling, from the metaphorical clash of “Victorious Tale,” to the peaceful blooms of “Weeping Willows.” Both of these poems carry strong and pure meaning. The poem “Weathered” felt like a breath of clean air, reminding us that we all have to share in the moments that are certain to end, yet someday will continue. As I read “Find Yourself,” I felt that troubles are powerful, but there is a peace that coats the spirit like a mirage of color. The title Wandering Wind is very powerful and true of this collection of work.
I really enjoyed Wandering Wind. Darin Svien is a very moving and creative poet. He uses beautiful metaphors that grasp emotionally at your heart. I found the poems in this book to be pure, honest, and uplifting. These poems bring out the common bond that draws us together as human beings. I highly recommend this collection.
