With no clues as to her identity or where she came from, the woman found drowned close to Carrabhain baffled the locals. Suspended from her job and spending time in her holiday home, this case intrigued DI Cathy Spragg. Sergeant Matt Bracken filled her in on the relevant details, in particular, how the victim had been brutally tortured. Undeterred by the rulebook and with the sergeant’s assistance, DI Spragg launched her own unofficial investigation which took her out of the country for answers as to who was responsible for such a heinous crime.
