Blind Sunflowers

Flesh is like a tiger living inside man, the Anphion who by his art can move all stones, move everyone, shift even the foundations of their souls.

He knew how to get hold of a pencil and paper to write the letter, and somehow knew he had the time.

Is this child the cause of death, or its fruit?’

The snow will come and bury me, and later out of my eye sockets will grow flowers that will enrage those who preferred death to poetry.

A wolf told a boy that with his tender flesh
He could survive the winter.
The boy told the wolf to eat only one leg
Because he was so young and tiny
That he needed the wolf to be nice and plump
Ready for the moment when
Even one-legged, he would need some roasted
Wolf to dine on.
They stared at each other, sniffed one another and felt so bad
That they would have to harm each other
They agreed to repeat the scene
Without resorting to the deceit
That for two people who love each other to survive
They always have to admit
That whatever their feelings, one must live
And the other one die.
And as a corollary:
The pair of them perished of hunger.

It’s not right that death should come so soon, when life itself has had no time to begin.

I want to leave everything written down in order to make it clear to whoever finds us that they are also to blame, unless they are victims too.
