Blanche is sent to the country high school because of concerns about drugs and pregnancy. Beauty and her Brooklyn accent make her standout. She meets Ken, an athlete-student of limited means. Before returning to Brooklyn she helps him get into college. She goes on to a career in films and television dumping Ken. Three years later they meet again.
