The concept of heaven has been presented form a very different angle in the story. The author presents heaven as a very personal thing. It describes that each dead person has his or her own individualized version of heaven. However, they sometimes share similar elements with other individuals, but they are not able to go into the dissimilar areas of the other person’s heaven.
The novel was also adapted into a movie that was released in the year 2009. The movie was directed by Peter Jackson.
