“Breathtaking. Cock-throbbing.” L'HOMO Magazin. This is the first volume of Eric Kollen's Fragrance of Sin series — thirty stories across six volumes, amounting to 1,667 pages of boundary-pushing passion. In the Netherlands they count among the most popular gay books of all time.
These stories are full of imagination and dazzling variety: some are set in the present, but the next moment you find yourself caught up in homoerotic entanglements during the Second World War, in the seventeenth century or in the age of Greek heroes and demi-gods.
Kollen writes with incomparable bravura. His dry humour, his authenticity, and his sparkling play with taboos and language turn reading Fragrance of Sin into an unforgettable experience.
Others on Fragrance of Sin “Kollen manages to captivate and surprise, and the sheer joy of writing leaps from the pages. The content is extremely direct and, at times, boundless. Elements of power, sadomasochism and forbidden lust prevail.” Tijdschrift voor Seksuologie (Journal of Sexology)
“I roared with laughter while sporting a rock-hard cock. Very skilful, if you can pull that off! These stories are absolutely brilliant.” GJ Wielinga, writer and former porn actor
“These are the books I've been searching for all my life.” A reader
