we find the Christian life so difficult because we seek God’s blessing while we live in our own will

do nothing but seek the Father’s pleasure, and depend on the Father absolutely and entirely

the vine can do with me

close, personal communion with Christ is an absolute necessity for daily life

close fellowship with Christ in secret prayer

the heart clinging to and resting in Jesus,

abiding work is the work of the heart, not of the brain
