Its Edie Snows first year of high school and shes already struggling to find a group of friends to fit in with. To make matters worse, her mom is making her walk her cousin Merry, who has Down Syndrome, home from school every day. Edie joins the school musical thinking it will solve her problemsshell meet new friends and get out of looking after Merryonly Edie isnt sure she can pull off the play by the time the curtains open.
