Don't judge a book by its cover, right? We hear it all the time, and yet, first impressions play the biggest role in many situations throughout life. A shy and cautious fifteen-year-old learns this lesson when she becomes involved with the infamous senior group of her school. She learns that most everyone is not who we believe they are once we see them behind closed curtains. Her once caring and fun boyfriend turns out to be controlling and manipulative. Her once longtime and understanding best friend turns stone cold and distant. And her drug dealer enemy who finds himself down a doomed road turns into the one person she can't bear to lose.
