Why Don't You Just Give Up

drove to Denny’s this morning to pick up breakfast for my wife and son, and on the way there, I had a thought run through my mind; why not just give up. I thought about it for a second and it came to me that many people do give up. The give up on marriages, they give up on children, they give up on school, they give up on religion, and they give up on themselves. Why? Why do so many people give up and then advise others at times to never give up?

I just want to cut to the chase. Why don’t you just give up? No, really. Isn’t change going to hurt you? Why change? Why try something new? Just kidding. I don’t believe in giving up or in preventing change, because both are necessary for a fulfilled life.
