“the romance of the Three Kingdoms” also knowns as “Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms”, is the most outstanding long chapter historical novels of Chinese history. The “romance of the Three Kingdoms” was written by Luo Guanzhong at the late Yuan and early Ming dynasty. Before his book, “Three Kingdoms story”had experienced hundreds of years of historical development. In Tang Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms story had been widely circulated, and even children were familiar. With the development of the public art, the Song Dynasty “speak” artists had been dedicated to say stories of the Three Kingdoms, then called as the “said three parts”. The emergence of “popular stories of the Three Kingdoms” in Yuan dynasty was actually from the storyteller's book, although more briefly rough, still getting the scale of “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. Luo Guanzhong based on the legends and folk artists’ creation, and also according to Chen Shou “Three Kingdoms” and quoted the annotation of data (including “The New Tao Mystery” and note information), through the creative labor, wrote out the grand scale of the masterpiece — “the romance of the Three Kingdoms”
