Sometimes people think the Bible was written to tell us what to do and what not to do

With God, you don’t even have to assume he likes you. He’s already made clear his love for you. You just have to accept it. Accept that God likes you. Accept that he’s madly in love with you. Accept that he is on your side all the time.

When you catch a glimpse of his heart toward you, when you realize how passionately he backs you and believes in you, change is automatic.

Our emotions and dedication fluctuate, but God’s love is constant. It is unending. Immovable. Forever dependable. God’s love is as unchanging as he is.

In a similar but far greater way, God loves us because of who he is, not because of who we are.

Love isn’t based on the object of love, but on the source of love.

remember we are sinners, but we forget we’ve been set free. We remember we were guilty, but we forget we’ve been forgiven. We remember we’ve fallen, but we forget that God picked us up. And I think God is up in heaven saying, “What part of love don’t you understand?”
