My People will be as the wind

    again, courage is everywhere

Do you hear it in your heartbeat?

On cue the waters began to wave roughly -

    her reflection swaying lazily -

giving her the appearance of dance -

    a soft, proud,

    traditional woman’s dance.

    Before too long

    her dance ended.

    The red faded

    and she stood - protectively

    hovering over,

in her place beside the stars.

    Grandmother

    Weaver of life.

    I give thanks
