Immortality has become one of the most controversial topics in Christian circles. I agree that if any doctrine is not backed up by the Word, we have to reject it. If it is in the Word we definitely cannot ignore it. Immortality is not a controversial subject; it is the reason why Jesus came to earth and died. It is time for this final mystery that was given two thousand years ago to be revealed. There is one scripture in particular that tells me it is time we have to understand this subject.2 Timothy 1:9–10 Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to HIS PURPOSE AND GRACE, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath BROUGHT LIFE AND IMMORTALITY TO LIGHT THROUGH THE GOSPEL:
