Joe, an archaeologist who gave up a family and children of his own to study his ancestors on a remote, deserted island, wanted desperately to find proof of his family legend: that his ancestors traveled across the ocean to Polynesia, as many myths and legends have suggested.
However, as every day his life seems closer to the end, he only wants to do the best thing: draw closer to his niece and only living relative, Jade, and help her to fulfill her own dream of having a family.
After losing both of her parents as a child, and the words of a childhood bully induced feelings of utter worthlessness, Jade developed a strong persona, to protect herself and save anyone else in her life that might leave her. Even though she dreams of having a family of her own, she is convinced that no one will love her… When faced again with the childhood bully: the beautiful Temina, Jade wants more than ever to help Joe find their family treasure and also what it represents : a place of belonging in the world.
