Unemployed, unhappy, hopelessly sick and pathetically broke, Daniel books a last minute vacation to Playa del Carmen with his girlfriend in the hopes the trip will not only save their crumbling relationship, but his sanity as well.
The vacation soon spirals into a string of disasters – beginning with a bad batch of chicken carbonara – that sends him on a drunken,self-destructive tear that threatens to ruin the only good thing left in his life – his family.
