As Almighty God chose the immaculate Virgin Mary to be the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ, so with the same great care he chose that chaste man of God, a descendant of King David, St. Joseph, to be the perfect reflection of the Eternal Father in the best of human ways to raise God’s Son and Mary’s boy as God’s perfect reflection of what fatherhood should be.
