Under what authority does the Pope reign over the Roman Catholic Church? What are the ecclesiastical and theological underpinnings of the papacy? How did early Christians view the authority of the Roman bishop?
Dr. Brattston answers these questions by examining Biblical and early Christian sources from the first three centuries of the Church. Wherever you stand on the issue, you will be informed, enlightened, and challenged by the evidence presented.
The book features a Foreword written by Dr. Thomas P. Scheck, Associate Professor of Theology at Ave Maria University.
