These short stories are about the author's life and his struggle to survive in a world of many different attitudes, cultures and other impediments. The author was born in British Jamaica in a broken family, with instability between his mother and father. He was brought to the loving home of his late grandfather who fell in love with his black grandmother. His white-born grandfather, a police inspector, crossed a racial divide based on his genuine love of his country and the people around him. He made a significant contribution to Jamaica. This home became author's base of learning, which helped him overcome all the obstacles that he would have to face through his turbulent life.
